Extra Score $13. ON SALE $10.

This exciting overture is full of ingenious counterpoint, melodic, rhythmic and harmonic development and is great fun for performers and audiences. It is believed to have been composed in 1879 while Buck (1839-1909) was living in Brooklyn. Great for summer concerts.

"Tom Kennedy's transcription is a gourmet entree. ...this fine modern transcription  reflects the intersection of histories that is the contemporary

band world."  ~ Thomas Duffy, Yale University

This transcription for standard concert band by Tom Kennedy is meticulously based on the corrected orchestral score from the Fleischer Collection at the Free Library of Philadelphia. A very novel and exciting work.
